Fife is Corky’s younger brother. Tragically, Fife has never met his sister as she has been held in captivity since 1969. Fife’s mother was Stripe who was captured at the same time as Corky but was released as she was an older whale. Fife’s father is from the R clan which has a completely different acoustic repertoire to the A clan orcas.

Fife is quite a character, extremely handsome and gaining stature within his community. He is usually seen travelling with his sister Ripple, her daughter, Midsummer and her kids Fern and Eliot. In 2003, Fife had a serious wound on his back which was likely to have been caused by a boat propeller. It has now completely healed.
