Sundance was first spotted in 1990 when he was a tiny calf, so now he is all grown up. Like his big buddy Mischief, Sundance is one of the massive adult males in this population of bottlenose dolphins who live off the east coast of Scotland.
Sundance is a formidable predator but also loves to clown around, showing off to the ladies. But when he gets hungry he switches into hunting mode and it is jaw-dropping to watch this master hunter at work, whether it is ambushing enormous salmon at Chanonry Point or rounding-up shoals of fish with some friends, he is always awesome to watch. He is one of those dolphins who has a real ‘presence’ about him too, whenever he arrives on the scene – he is the dolphin to watch!
