Rainbow is a friendly and sociable female dolphin. Like Kesslet, she had a lovely new baby in August 2018, a little brother or sister to Prism and Indigo. Rainbow is normally found with a group of friends, moving in and out of the Inner Moray Firth in search for food. She's one of the more regularly seen females along the Black Isle coastline and we see her most months of the year.
A prolific hunter, she was a brilliant teacher to her sons when they were growing up – able to show them every trick in the book to overcome even the biggest of salmon or how to work as a team rounding up herring or mackerel. Her rounded dorsal fin has a distinctive half keyhole-shaped nick on its back edge, making her easy to spot.
