Wild Dolphins 2014

Monday 23 June 2014
In partnership with the ARCHIE Foundation we held a spectacular art event in Aberdeen this summer. Around 50 dolphins leapt of the streets of the city and provided a colourful reminder of the real wild dolphins living right on the doorstep.

Led by the ARCHIE Foundation and Whale and Dolphin Conservation, Wild Dolphins was a public art exhibition in the city of Aberdeen . Giant fibreglass sculptures of dolphins ‘leapt’ off the streets of Aberdeen and the surrounding area.

Each sculpture was individually designed and painted by invited local artists, creating a trail of unique pieces of art. At the end of the 10 week public art exhibition, the sculptures were auctioned to raise funds for children at the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital and to protect the local dolphins.
