Scottish Dolphin Centre Volunteers

6 month Education Residential Volunteer & Guide Role

Are you passionate about the environment? Or an excellent communicator keen to inspire all ages? Or looking to gain valuable experience within a global marine conservation charity?

If so, then WDC’s Scottish Dolphin Centre (located in Moray, North East Scotland) are looking for two enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join them for their 2020 season (April to September); you will learn how to manage a busy visitor Centre and through our Education and Events programmes, help to deliver WDC’s 4 main goals; ending captivity, stopping whaling, creating healthy seas and preventing deaths in nets.

The visitor Centre and volunteer accommodation are in Spey Bay (a beautiful rural location), adjacent to a reserve at the mouth of the river Spey, where it meets the North Sea. The largest bottlenose dolphins in the world can be seen feeding regularly close to shore, along with ospreys, seals, a huge variety of coastal birds, the occasional otter and other wildlife!

The majority of this role involves community outreach, interpretation and engaging with visitors, if you are looking for field experience this is not the opportunity for you.
