Waipapa Bay Wines signs up to the Climate Giant Project on World Whale Day
We’re delighted to announce that Waipapa Bay Wines are the latest partner to join the Climate Giant Project on World Whale Day!
Following an amazing start to our partnership back in 2019 and becoming our first wine industry corporate sponsor, Waipapa Bay Wines are now focussing their support on a more sustainable future that’s better for the planet. By signing up to the Climate Giant Project we can scale up our conservation work to support ocean-based solutions to the climate crisis and in doing so, protect every whale for their sake and ours.
The name Waipapa (pronounced Why-papa) comes from the laid-back surf spot on the Pacific Ocean, a place of stunning, natural beauty. It’s a fantastic spot for wildlife watching inspiring the label designs.
"At Waipapa Bay wines, we're all incredibly pleased to continue our partnership with the WDC and their Climate Giant Project.” said Fran Draper, Marketing Director Waipapa Bay Wines. “We understand the crucial role that whales and dolphins play in protecting the local ocean ecosystems as our wines are historically produced using grapes from coastal vineyards, and we’re proud to play our part in creating a more sustainable future by protecting these vital animals across the globe."
Waipapa Bay wines are selected from the world's finest coastal climate wine producing regions. Two exciting new ranges will be announced soon but in the meantime, if you’re interested in purchasing a delightful bottle of Sauvignon Blanc made from grapes grown in the north eastern coastal region of Marlborough, visit the Ocado website here today.
