A really wild day out!

The May Bank Holiday Monday started off very windy and wet but as the 10.30am opening drew closer the weather gods smiled on the annual WDC Scottish Dolphin Centre‘s “Really Wild Festival” at Spey Bay on the lovely Moray Firth coastline. Although it stayed breezy for the day we had thousands of visitors over the whole of the event enjoying all the stall holders and other wildlife groups and charities both in the marquee and outdoors, the locally sourced food and drink plus highlights like the Buckie & District Pipe Band seen here tuning up.

I was along as usual to assist our staff and volunteers, take some photos/video and talk to people about Adopt a Dolphin plus sign some books and answer loads of great questions about whales and dolphins from both kids and adults alike. It went a bit windy and rainy near the end of the afternoon but by that time a great time was had by all and another Really Wild Festival has been completed. Roll on next year !
