SeaWorld Orlando stops beluga whale interaction programme

SeaWorld Orlando has abruptly ended its visitor’s package which allows visitors to get in the water with the park’s beluga whales.

SeaWorld has given no indication as to why, just stating that the programme is “currently under review”.

The decision comes less than a year after one of the park’s four beluga whales died from an infection after fracturing a jaw.
