WDC Wild Dolphin auction raises half a million pounds

One of WDC’s biggest ever events, Wild Dolphins – a collaboration between ourselves and children’s hospital charity the ARCHIE Foundation has raised a huge half a million pounds for both organisations.

Some of the many fans of Aberdeen’s popular art trail, which took Aberdeen by storm this summer, bid to keep one of the popular dolphin sculptures at a fantastic final auction event.

Both charities will now benefit from the generosity of bidders which is estimated at £531,000 pounds in total. One sculpture alone (Golfin Dolphin) sold on the night for over £50,000.

WDC would like to thank all involved, and the city of Aberdeen.
