Joan Jett – SeaWorld stop using my music

Joan Jett has become the latest popular musician to come out against SeaWorld and its captive orcas shows by demanding that they stop using her song “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll” during SeaWorld performances.

The theme park has since stopped using the song, and Jett’s name can now be added to an ever-growing list of performers who have publicly criticised keeping orcas in captivity following the release of the hit film Blackfish, which documents the death of SeaWorld trainer, Dawn Brancheau. Willie Nelson, Heart, Cheap Trick, The Beach Boys and a host of other star names have all cancelled shows at SeaWorld recently, or refused the use of their music.
