Hackers shut down government website following latest dolphin slaughter

The international ‘hacktivist’ group, Anonymous, which targets the internet sites of governments and other organisations, has attacked and briefly shut down the Japanese government website for Wakayama Prefecture, where Taiji Cove is located – the site of the brutal dolphin drive hunts. Those not killed are taken from their family groups and sold to marine theme parks for large sums of money.  Hundreds of dolphins were again driven in to the cove at Taiji in recent days, causing more international condemnation of the practise.
