More whales found dead off Florida coast

Local marine wildlife authorities in Florida (US) have reported that another 11 pilot whales have been found dead following a mass stranding a week ago, bringing the total death toll to 22. Hopes remain that the remaining pilot whales have now headed back out to deeper waters. The pod of short-finned pilot whales was first spotted last week in the waters off a remote area of the Everglades. Later seven of the whales were found dead and four others had to be euthanized (put to sleep).
