Miss V's Blog #6

Hi there! Today I’ll wrap up the story of how I raised money for WDC!

When the bake sale at school ended, we counted up the money, we had raised $158.00! With the $748.00 raised from family and friends, it totaled up to $906.00! I could not believe it. I was so excited to tell WDC!

I learned A LOT about whales and dolphins and how to raise money for a cause that you really believe in. First of all, I learned about a lot of different whale and dolphin species I had never heard of before. I also learned that lots of dolphins and whales are endangered and need our help, whales and dolphins have bellybuttons (I love that fact), whales and humans have a lot in common, and some other really cool facts like that.

I also learned how to raise money for a cause you believe in. You really have to believe in the cause. That is one of the key things. It’s also better if you have other people already willing to help. (Maybe your parents, other family members, or friends are willing to help you.) You should have a person to help you coordinate everything, like a teacher, a parent or family member, or even a friend. And all you do from there is keep believing that you can do it!

That was my story, and I REALLY hope you enjoyed learning how to put together a good fundraiser and a few cool facts!

Remember to donate to WDC!

Love,
Miss. V
