NOAA needs to hear from us all

Please help reduce entanglements of right and humpback whales!  Join me in letting NOAA know that we need them to protect large whales! NOAA is proposing to restrict the use of risk-prone lines that go from the lobster and crab pots to the surface buoys but they need to include more gear types and a more comprehensive marking strategy to identify the kind of gear and where it was set.

SUBMIT YOUR COMMENT TO NOAA TO TELL THE GOVERNMENT WHY REDUCING VERTICAL LINE IN THE WATER TO REDUCE ENTANGLEMENTS OF WHALES IS IMPORTANT TO YOU. PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR COMMENT BEFORE 11:59 EST ON SEPTEMBER 13TH.

NOAA will only consider comments that are submitted in your own voice/words, but remember to also seal your comments with a K.I.S.S.

 CARE TO DO MORE…

• Contact your Senators and let them know the Proposed Rule to Amend the Atlantic Large Whale Take Reduction Plan and reduce the amount of vertical line in the water is a crucial step toward the protection of North Atlantic right and humpback whales. Find contact information for your elected officials here.

• Share the Act Right Now campaign with your friends and family- our campaign video and the petition can be found here.

• Make a donation to Whale and Dolphin Conservation to support the work we do around the world.
