Storm Eleanor leaves trail of plastic across Cornwall beaches

Coastal communities in Cornwall and elsewhere are cleaning up after Storm Eleanor left a trail of plastic litter strewn across many beaches. Rockpools were full of plastic debris while containers of various shapes and sizes littered the beaches along with straws.

One volunteer, James Dixon, said that he picked up 478 pieces of plastic in one hour, and he had seen waste all the way along the beaches in Bude while in Newquay the debris left behind was caught on camera by @Newquaybeach.
